Samantha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Evolutionary Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She holds a Wilderness EMT certification and has worked as an instructor of Wilderness First Aid for three years. She has spent the last 8 years working with youth in a wilderness setting doing Conservation work in the Pacific Northwest, working as a Wilderness Therapy Instructor in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, and was an Achievement Team Leader at Summit prior to teaching math. Samantha values the combination of wilderness and academics to foster a well-balanced experience for our students. Her hobbies include rock climbing, cross-country skiing, hiking, crocheting, playing the guitar and singing.
