Death At Summit Achievement

Adam Tsapis, Co-founder of Summit Achievement and father of four, died in a kite skiing
accident in Maine on February 16, 2015. His untimely death deeply pained us all in the Summit
Achievement community and yet we know for sure that he would have encouraged us to carry on
the mission of the program he co-founded.

Summit Achievement and Adam’s family believe that the best way to honor him would be
through the creation of a fund that helps defray the cost of treatment for families.

The Adam Tsapis Memorial Fund is administrated by the Sky’s the Limit Fund and used to assist
families who qualify for need-based financial assistance to afford Summit Achievement.  All
grants from the Sky’s the Limit Fund will be matched by our organization in the form of tuition

Adam’s legacy at Summit Achievement was the nineteen years he helped guide the organization
in assisting the thousands of adolescents, families and staff who have been a part of our
community.  Adam’s smiling face and welcoming demeanor helped ease the anxiety of many
throughout the treatment process.  Adam is remembered for his ability to connect with others, his
charming presence and his unconditional support to those in need.

The Adam Tsapis Memorial Fund has been established to honor Adam for his contributions to
Summit Achievement and to allow more families to take advantage of the wonderful program he
helped create.
