ADMISSIONS

Students who successfully complete the Summit Achievement wilderness therapy program, or other wilderness or residential treatment will be considered for admission. Students must demonstrate the ability to benefit from the type of treatment and education available in our setting. Appropriate candidates will be ready to embrace the leadership opportunities that are offered and must display the ability to manage their behavior in this setting. Admissions will be determined on a case-by-case basis according to clinical and behavioral readiness. Additional psychological and/or medical evaluation may be required prior to admission.

Applicant families are asked to complete and submit an application that includes family information, counseling, medical and academic history, and an Authorization to Release Information. The latter is required so the admissions team can obtain information, if needed, from professionals who have previously provided services to the applicant.

TUITION

Summit Semester tuition is $5000 per full month. Partial months are billed at $170 per day. Tuition fees for 2 months are due at the time the child enrolls. This covers the first and last month's tuition. Additional payments are billed at the beginning of every month. There is a $300 expense deposit for incidentals and recreational opportunities. Any remaining balance left in a client's expense account will be returned to the family upon completion of the program. There will be additional charges for transportation to and from the airport for home visits if necessary.

Students are expected to arrive with basic clothing for residential wear. Items that are required for outdoor pursuits include long underwear, fleece top & bottoms, real leather hiking boots (in season), hiking socks, and good quality rain gear, camp chair, and water bottles. These items can be purchased from us or brought from home. A complete clothing list is included upon acceptance for admission. Summit provides all necessary outdoor equipment including backpacks, sleeping bags, outerwear in season, and other specialized equipment.
