PROGRAM

The Summit Semester is an academically focused therapeutic program for students transitioning from wilderness programs and/or treatment centers. The Summit Semester provides an effective, flexible length program for students requiring ongoing support and structure.

ACADEMICS

Students earn transfer credits through our Maine state certified school, covering the five major subject areas. Additionally, students can complete a self paced curriculum in a variety of subject areas that are accredited by a college preparatory distance learning program to supplement missing credits or earn extra credits.

THERAPY

Summit Semester is a fully licensed residential treatment center which provides licensed Masters Level therapists who implement a range of Multisystemic approachs; utilizing individual, family, and group therapy to help facilitate change for students and their families.

Length of Stay: Minimum of 60 days

Services provided:

  • 4 1/2 day per week academics
  • Individual and group psychotherapy with Masters level therapist
  • Ongoing family involvement
  • Coordination and updates with referring consultant
  • On site medical staff for treatment and medication evaluation and management
  • Recreational activities provided by staff during the weekends

Additional services available at additional cost:

  • Transportation to schools for interviews
  • SAT prep and testing
  • Neuropsychological and/or psychoeducational examinations
  • Psychiatric consultation
  • Off site medical and dental health services
