Summit Achievement accepts students throughout the year on a rolling admissions basis with enrollments typically scheduled for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday each week. Special arrangements may be made for admissions at other times. This allows Summit to respond promptly to escalating difficulties within a family and enables parents to relatively quickly place their teen in a safe environment where problems can be assessed and treated.

Submitting an Application

Applicant families are asked to complete and submit an application that includes family information, counseling, medical and academic history, and an Authorization to Release Information. The latter is required so the clinical team can obtain information, if needed, from other professionals who have previously provided services to the applicant.

Applicant Screening

Upon receipt of the application materials, the Admissions Department will review all information and materials provided to ensure that the application is complete. Following this preliminary review, the Admissions Director presents the candidate's application to the Clinical Team for discussion and determination of appropriateness for admission. An admissions decision or request for additional information typically follows within one to four business days. If accepted for enrollment, parents will be asked to complete several additional documents required prior to enrollment.

Program Fees

Summit Achievement’s program tuition is $445 per day. The average length of stay is 42 to 56 days. The first installment is $12,460. The 2nd installment is due at the completion of 28 days. There is a $300 expense account required for each student, any unused balance of which will be refunded. A total of $12,760 is due at admission. In addition to the tuition fees, parents are responsible for all medical expenses (except for the initial health assessment), special transportation services, and the cost of any clothing issued by the program.

Methods of Payment

Accepted forms of payment include cashier checks, personal checks, bank draft, and select credit cards (Visa and MasterCard). Summit Achievement also works with two financial institutions that provide educational loans. With low interest rates and flexible repayment plans, these loans may be an helpful alternative for some families. Additional information on educational loans is available from the Admissions Department or by contacting the financial institution.
